Description:

This training is directed towards environmental health professionals and provides an overview of private wells and the importance of proper care. It will cover an introductory to well components, treatment techniques and guidelines on well maintenance. It will also dive into conducting private well assessments and providing outreach and education to users of private wells.

 

At the completion of this lesson, participants should have the ability to:

·        Understand how private wells interact with groundwater

·        Knowledge of private well components

·        Awareness of treatment for private wells

·        Addressing basic well maintenance

·        Best practices for conducting well assessments

·        Understanding how to provide outreach and education to private well owners

Scholarship & Fees:

Best Practices for EHS: Outreach & Education for Private Well Owners is a free training to attend.

 

Registration:

To receive contact hours for online workshops, each person must be registered with their own email address. An evaluation at the end of the training is also required.

 

Are you attending as a group, but not watching from your own computer?

Attendees do not need to participate from their own computer/device for the online trainings. Each attendee will be required to register and complete an evaluation to verify their participation. Prior to session start, a Group Leader will need to inform RCAC (registration@rcac.org) which attendees will view the sessions together. Following the training an evaluation is sent to the Group Lead who will be responsible for sharing it with each attendee in the group.
