Description:

The purpose of these meetings is to provide a forum to discuss evolving drinking water and wastewater technologies, regulations, and issues facing Tribal water as well as Tribal environmental departments. The meetings also support local Tribal water operators by providing contact hours needed to maintain drinking water certification. These meetings allow for networking with local operators and environmental staff. Central California NAWMA sessions will be planned for throughout the year and coordinated by local RCAC technical assistance providers.

Agenda:

Do you cringe when someone mentions the word test? Many operators get nervous about this when it comes to testing. Come learn the basics of water treatment so you can prepare to take the T1 T2 test. If you are new to water treatment and just want to learn the basics we will cover the following:

·        Sources and characteristics

·        Surface water treatment, conventional and direct

·        Disinfection

·        Ground water treatment, iron and manganese, ion exchange, membrane filtration

·        Clear wells and water storage reservoirs

·        Laboratory, equipment and analysis
