Accreditation:

The Credit Counseling Spanish training will be held on the following date and time:

Description:

This course will provide counselors with an understanding of how to analyze credit reports, how FICO scores are determined, and include the development of strategies for improving their clients’ short-and long-term financial situations.

Participants will learn:

·       How to help their clients take the steps needed to repair their credit and provide guidance on making financial decisions.

Topics will include:

·       Assisting clients to understand how to deal with credit related issues

·       How to re-establish credit after the pandemic

·       Pandemic related resources and protections for consumers

·       Identifying fraud and predatory lending tactics.

 

Class presentation materials and spoken language instruction will be provided in Spanish

This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining.

Scholarship & Fees:

There is a $75.00 dollar fee to attend the training.

 

RCAC will offer a scholarship to the first 10 people who register. There is a limit of one scholarship per HUD approved agency. Scholarships are only available to HUD approved agencies. Scholarships will be given as a reimbursement to the same form of payment. Registration and attendance are required for scholarship reimbursement eligibility. Reimbursements will be given after attendance is verified. Those who register and do not attend will not be eligible for a scholarship reimbursement.

 

Refund Policy:

RCAC does not issue refunds for any tuition paid to attend the HUD trainings. Tuition fees are non-refundable, though refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be approved in writing by the Housing Counseling Program Manager.
