Description:
Small water systems in California have entered a new era of drought planning and reporting. Senate Bill 552 mandates new actions be taken by state, county and small water suppliers- do you know what to do? There are new responsibilities to reduce the risk of inadequate water supply during a water shortage event. We will identify potential water shortage risks for small water suppliers & rural communities, and we will explore some of the requirements and resources along the road to improved drought resilience.
Participants will learn:
· New requirements in California’s Drought Resilience & Water Shortage Response
· Online tools for exploring and identifying water shortage risks
· Communication & coordination guidance for water suppliers, customers, and government
Regulations Basics Series: The recommended audience includes operators, managers, board members, and elected officials.

This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining.

Registration:
To receive contact hours for online workshops, each person must be registered with their own email address. An evaluation at the end of the training is also required.
Are you attending as a group, but not watching from your own computer?
Attendees do not need to participate from their own computer/device for the online trainings. Each attendee will be required to register and complete an evaluation to verify their participation. Prior to session start, a Group Leader will need to inform RCAC (registration@rcac.org) which attendees will view the sessions together. Following the training an evaluation is sent to the Group Lead who will be responsible for sharing it with each attendee in the group.
