Description:

Wastewater Operation Basics & Operator Certification training is designed to educate potential wastewater operators and associated professionals.

 

The following topics covered will be:

·        General knowledge about the treatment of wastewater and operational procedures of a wastewater treatment plant including:

·        Regulations and the need for wastewater treatment

·        The basic wastewater treatment processes, including preliminary/primary treatment.

·        Facultative Pond/Lagoon components and design

·        Operation and Maintenance 

 

·      Preparation to become a licensed Wastewater Operator including:

·        Introduction to the CA State math conversion sheet concept 

·        Typical wastewater math problems encountered for preliminary treatment.  

·        A sampling of wastewater math solutions 

·        Operator Certification procedures in California

 

·      Regional Wastewater Information including:

·        Overview of local wastewater treatment operations

·        Overview of regional job opportunities

·        Questions and Answers
