Description:
The Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC) will be providing an onsite wastewater workshop designed to assist wastewater operators with passing the state exam. This workshop will be six hours in length and interactive. This workshop is primarily designed to educate wastewater operators and operators in training about the basic operations of wastewater treatment facilities with an emphasis on wastewater treatment math that is typically found on the state wastewater exam.
Topics include:
· Wading into Wastewater, Wastewater treatment overview
· Introduction to the state math conversion sheet
· Typical wastewater math conversion numbers
· Typical wastewater math conversion formulas
· Wastewater formulas covered will include area, volumes, dosage, hydraulic/organic loading, F/M ratios and MCRT’s
· Concepts will be explained, then participants will work math problems
