Description:

This course is designed for Colorado operators and will be focused on meeting compliance requirements related to the Cross Connection Control and Backflow Prevention (CCCBP) regulation found in Regulation 11 as well as preparing new operators taking the certification exam. 

The course will start with a 4-hour in-person workshop, operators will gain an understanding of the regulatory requirements of the CCCBP, including identification of potential cross connections, backflow prevention selection, survey and testing requirements and best practices for protecting water quality and public health. 

The course will end with a 2-hour in-person workshop on exam preparation with an emphasis on preparing new operators looking to take Treatment D & C and Level 1 & 2 exams. Attendees will understand requirements to be eligible for taking the exam (Regulation 100), rubric of questions, test taking tips and basic operator math.
