The Water Mathematics 2-Day Series training will be held on the following dates and times:

September 23 9:00AM-1:30PM | Day 1 | Lunch 11:30AM-12:00PM

September 24 9:00AM-1:30PM | Day 2 | Lunch 11:30AM-12:00PM

These trainings are being held in Mountain Time.


Description:

Conversions | Day 1
To learn basics of unit conversions related to water system operator math, including dimensional analysis and unit conversions. Students will perform common unit conversion calculations and demonstrate their knowledge of conversion formulas. 

Basic Geometry | Day 1
To learn concepts of geometry as it relates to operator math. Students will learn and demonstrate knowledge of volume measurements and perform geometry and hydraulic related calculations.

Flows & Velocities | Day 2
To learn  basics of water flows and velocities. Students will learn and demonstrate knowledge of performing arithmetic calculations to determine flow and velocity and make calculations to determine operational efficiency as related to the water distribution system.

Chemical feed dosing | Day 2
To learn intermediate arithmetic concepts related to disinfection math. Students will learn and demonstrate foundational knowledge of chlorine dosing in a water distribution system. Students will apply unit conversion concepts learned in Math Part 1.

This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining.

 

Scholarship & Fees:

Water Mathematics 2-Day Series is a free training to attend.

 

Registration:

The registration link will register you to attend both days of the series.

 

To receive contact hours for online workshops, each person must be registered with their own email address. An evaluation at the end of the training is also required.

 

Are you attending as a group, but not watching from your own computer?

Attendees do not need to participate from their own computer/device for the online trainings. Each attendee will be required to register and complete an evaluation to verify their participation. Prior to session start, a Group Leader will need to inform RCAC (registration@rcac.org) which attendees will view the sessions together. Following the training an evaluation is sent to the Group Lead who will be responsible for sharing it with each attendee in the group.
