The Groundwater & Wells 2-Day Series training will be held on the following dates and times:

September 25 9:00AM-1:30PM | Day 1 | Lunch 11:30AM-12:00PM

September 26 9:00AM-1:30PM | Day 2 | Lunch 11:30AM-12:00PM

These trainings are being held in Mountain Time.


Description:

Basic hydrology | Day 1 

This module begins with the definition of groundwater and the basic hydrologic cycle including a description of aquifer types.

 

Participants will learn:

·        Basic well drilling methods

·        General geologic formations where groundwater exists based on data analyzed from mud logging

 

Well operations | Day 2

This module will present participants with the anatomy or parts of a completed will, including the differences between submersible versus a turbine pump and motors.

 

We will cover basic operation and maintenance; record keeping essentials and conclude with the method used to abandon a groundwater supply well.

 

Participants will learn:

·        The definition of common well terms

·        The cone of depression

·        The common water quality issues associated with groundwater

 

Location:

This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining.

 

Scholarship & Fees:

Groundwater & Wells 2-Day Series is a free training to attend.

 

Registration:

The registration link will register you to attend both days of the series.

 

To receive contact hours for online workshops, each person must be registered with their own email address. An evaluation at the end of the training is also required.

 

Are you attending as a group, but not watching from your own computer?

Attendees do not need to participate from their own computer/device for the online trainings. Each attendee will be required to register and complete an evaluation to verify their participation. Prior to session start, a Group Leader will need to inform RCAC (registration@rcac.org) which attendees will view the sessions together. Following the training an evaluation is sent to the Group Lead who will be responsible for sharing it with each attendee in the group.
