Description:

Participants will gain a deep understanding of the Intended Use Plan, explore the funding opportunities available through the State Revolving Fund (SRF) and learn how to effectively craft a Letter of Interest (LOI) to enhance their chances of obtaining financial assistance.

 

Topics covered will include:

 

·        Understanding the Intended Use Plan:

o Overview of the Intended Use Plans purpose and significance in Idaho's wastewater funding landscape
o Key components and priorities outlined in the Intended Use Plan

·        EPA capacity building concepts for sustainable wastewater systems:
o Introduction to three critical EPA capacity-building concepts aimed at fostering long-term sustainability in wastewater systems
o Strategies for integrating these concepts into funding application to meet sustainability goals

·        State Revolving Fund grants and loans:
o Overview of the funding options available through Idaho's State Revolving Fund, including grants and low-interest loans
o Eligibility criteria and the application process for securing State Revolving Fund funds

·        Crafting a compelling Letter of Interest:
o Step-by-step guidance on writing a strong Letter of Interest to increase the likelihood of securing funding
o Tips for aligning project proposals with Intended Use Plan priorities and State Revolving Fund funding requirements

By the end of this training participants will be equipped with practical knowledge and actionable strategies to effectively utilize the Idaho Intended Use Plan, access State Revolving Fund funding and advance unfunded wastewater projects in their communities.
