Description:

Public water systems are required to provide safe drinking water. Methods for providing safe drinking water vary from system to system, but there are a handful of methods that apply to all systems. This includes the inspection and maintenance of water storage tanks, chlorination feed systems, valves, water mains, hydrants, meters and taking bacteriological samples and safety while performing this important work.

 

Participants will learn:

·        Basic water distribution system inspection

·        Water distribution system maintenance

·        Basic chlorination feed systems

·        Coliform sample techniques
