The Southwestern Arizona NAWMA Operator Certification Prep training will be held on the following date and time:

Description:

Across many people’s Winter is a time for storytelling, tool repair, and performing rituals to turn the sun toward summer. As winter fades and turns to spring, it is an ideal time for Operator’s to get together to share stories to help each other prepare for a busy spring and summer.  Whether you have a list of maintenance duties, a slew of sampling to perform this year, or need to take your operator certification, this event sponsored by EPA and USDA can help you. Join us at this two-day event to discuss operation and maintenance as well as prepare to take the operator certification test.

Topics to discuss:

·        Water monitoring schedules and sampling plans – Participants will have the chance to view their upcoming schedules and learn how to ensure safe and accurate sample collection.

·        Routine Maintenance – Participants will learn about servicing their equipment to extend the lifespan of their assets.

·        Operator Certification – Participant will have a chance to review the common topics found in the operator certification test, including operator math, meters, basic chlorination, Backfilling, main testing, and installation safety and much more.

These topics will allow tribal operators to maintain compliance with safe drinking water regulations and provide safe water to their communities.
