The Water Distribution System Operations & Maintenance for Tribal Systems training will be held on the following date and time:

Description:

Tribal operators have an important job, providing safe drinking water to tribal lands under sufficient pressure. To accomplish this important task, operators need to be proficient in understanding the importance of system component operation and maintenance. This includes the inspection and maintenance of water storage tanks, chlorination feed systems, valves, water mains, hydrants, meters and safety issues while accomplishing this important task. This training will cover the tasks that operators may want to consider when working at their public water systems. 

 

Participants will learn:

·        Water storage tank inspection & maintenance

·        Chemical feed system types and maintenance

·        Exercising and inspection of hydrants, water mains and valves
·        Water meter basics
·        Water distribution system safety considerations
