Date & Time:

The Coliform Sampling training will be held on the following date and time:

June 25 9:00AM-11:00AM

This training is being held in the Pacific Time Zone.

Description:

The Total Coliform Rule (TCR) is the most violated drinking water regulation of all the Safe Drinking Water Act rules. There are several reasons for this. First, the TCR applies to all public drinking water systems. Second, coliforms are, by far, the most frequently sampled drinking water contaminants. And finally, false positive samples (contamination from the sample tap or poor sampling technique) can result in violation and Boil Order. For these reasons it is essential that all TCR samplers know the fundamentals of TCR sample tap selection and practice proper aseptic sampling techniques.

The online training will present the basic knowledge needed to select a proper TCR sampling location and review the proper aseptic TCR sampling procedures.

Participants will learn:

·        Why coliform sampling is important

·        Where and when to take coliform samples

·        What constitutes a "good" TCR sampling tap

·        What is good aseptic TCR sampling technique

This training is recommended for all operators, managers, board members and community members.

Location:

This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining.
