Description:

This course will educate housing counseling professionals about the impacts of racial bias on appraisals and property valuations. Housing counselors will be able to identify common red flags and provide strategies to combat unfair industry practices. The session will include resources and tools to support individuals who have been impacted and encourage counselors to work with Fair Housing organizations and HCAs as community partners.

Scholarship & Fees:

 

RCAC will offer a scholarship to 25 attendees from HUD-approved agencies. There is a limit of one scholarship per HUD-approved agency. Scholarships are only available to HUD-approved agencies only. Scholarships will be given as a discount code. Please email HCTrainings@rcac.org to verify HUD-approved status and receive discount code. Failure to attend training may affect future scholarship eligibility

Refund Policy:

Training tuition fees are non-refundable, though refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be approved in writing by the Housing Counseling Program Manager.
