Certificate of participation will be issued 30 days post-event per approved list from Housing Counsel Team.

Description:

This standalone course will teach counselors and participants about their clients’ rights and responsibilities under the HUD Lead-Based Paint Disclosure Rule.

 

Topics will cover:

·    Testing

·     Remediation

·     Possible health hazards

·     Seller and landlord responsibilities under the HUD-assisted requirements of 24 CFR part 35, subparts B, K and R

·     Compliance with EPA directives

This training will be hosted online on GoToTraining.

 

Scholarship & Fees:

There is no fee to register. Comparable RCAC trainings typically have a $100 registration fee. To cover these fees, HUD scholarships will be provided to participants from HUD-approved agencies. To receive a HUD scholarship, please include your agency’s HUD number in the registration form.

 

Participants from non-HUD-approved agencies will receive an RCAC scholarship. To qualify, please enter “Non-HUD Agency” in the registration from where it asks for the agency HUD number.

 

Refund Policy:

RCAC does not issue refunds for any tuition paid to attend the HUD trainings. Training tuition fees are non-refundable, though refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be approved in writing by the Housing Counseling Program Manager.
